Scaling E-Learning Across East Africa in Five Languages

Education & e-Learning·[FILL IN — client name]

The Challenge

A global education nonprofit needed to deploy its flagship digital literacy curriculum across five East African markets simultaneously. Each market required not just translation but cultural adaptation — local examples, regionally appropriate imagery guidance, and voice-over narration by native-speaking educators. The existing vendor had delivered machine-translated content that teachers rejected as unnatural.

Our Solution

Versyno assembled dedicated linguist-educator teams for each language, ran cultural review workshops with in-country teaching staff, and delivered fully localized e-learning modules — including RTL-ready Somali content — with professional voice-over narration and adapted assessment questions. Our project management team coordinated five parallel workstreams with weekly stakeholder syncs.

The Result

All five language versions launched within 8 weeks. Learner engagement scores exceeded the English baseline by 12% in Swahili and Amharic markets, validating the cultural adaptation approach. The client extended the partnership to cover Hausa and Yoruba for their West African expansion.

For the first time, our learners said the content felt like it was made for them — not translated at them. [FILL IN — real quote or remove]
